Jean de Menton has a wealth of experience in public administration, the private sector, and academia. He is currently Executive Director, Europe at Evans Randall Investors, a London-based investment banking and private equity group. Jean is also Executive Chairman of La Financière Pierre 1er de Serbie Ltd, an advisory firm which specialises in advisory services for investment management and financial structuring of real estate transactions. Previously, he was a Senior Advisor of Henderson Global Investors, a major player in global asset management based in London, and of FrontPoint Partners, an integrated company offering alternative investment strategies, which was subsequently acquired by Morgan Stanley. He was also a Managing Director of SGS Funds, an alternative asset management company.
Before creating La Financière and for the previous nine years, Jean de Menton was ”Chargé de Mission” at the French Ministry for Industry. In that senior position, he specialised in international affairs and particularly in Franco-Japanese industrial, financial and commercial relations. Among other duties, Jean also dealt with European industrial policy. Additionally, for ten years, he taught corporate finance, as a “Maitre de Conférence”, at France’s Ecole Nationale d’Administration. He has also been lecturing on hedge funds at the DESS of Finance at Sciences Politiques in Paris (a post-graduate program). Jean started his career as a lawyer in a Paris-based international law firm and holds a graduate degree from Harvard Business School, an MBA from Group HEC School of Management in Paris and a PhD in law from Paris University.
Rupert Goodwing is Senior Business Development Advisor at R&R. Rupert has a wealth of experience in building successful businesses, brands and teams, combined with broad knowledge of financial markets and investment portfolio management. Over the years, he has developed sales and support teams to deliver complex investment-related products and services and has sold and supported complex analytical systems to investment managers, investment banks and hedge funds. Rupert is currently Director and Chief of Staff of the London Quant Group, a widely respected, not-for-profit organisation that delivers seminars on quantitative risks models attracting large audiences from around the world.
Before joining R&R, Rupert was European marketing director at Northfield Information Services, a product specialist at DLJ (Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette) and previously at Salomon Brothers, a sales consultant at Quantec Investment Technology, an assistant fund manager and system analyst at Lazard Investors. Rupert attended the London Business School, Dundee University, and Eton College .
Shahed is an accomplished analyst specializing in macroeconomics and sovereign debt issues. With a fervent interest in emerging markets and public finance, Shahed is dedicated to effecting positive change in socio-economic distribution and public debt management.
Having earned a Bachelor of Economics with a focus on politics from McGill University (Canada), Shahed furthered his education with a Master's in Public Policy with a focus on Economic Policy from King's College (UK).

Samuel Jardine is a Geopolitical Analyst at R&R and London Politica’s Head of Research, responsible for organising and leading the Research Department. He is also the Director of LP’s “Geopolitics on the Periphery” programme covering the Arctic, Antarctic, space and the seabed.
Outside of London Politica Sam is the Project Manager for Lord Kerslake’s Commission on UK Military Accommodation and a Consultant for RUSI’s Defence, Industries and Society programme as well as being a RUSI Military Sciences “Rising Stars” thought leadership programme Mentee. He is also a Research Associate for the Climate & (In)Security Project (CCIP), a collaboration between Oxford University and the British Army's think tank- The Centre for Historical Analysis and Conflict Research (CHACR). CCIP seeks to enhance understanding of climate change’s impact on national, human, and geopolitical security and advise how to mitigate or respond and communicate these insights to parliamentarians, policy-makers, and practitioners and supports the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Climate and Security.
Ollie is a Geopolitical Analyst at R&R and is Deputy Head of Research at London Politica. Ollie is one of our Deputy Heads of Research here at London Politica where he is heavily involved with the operations and management of the firm’s expansion. His work at LP has centred on supply chain risk analysis, the green energy transition, and Eurasian geopolitical matters. This has included running the firm’s Ukraine Watch project as well as wider macropolitical risk analysis in regions as diverse as Afghanistan, the Baltics and Sub-Saharan Africa for clients including the UN World Food Program, World Economic Forum, and the International Chamber of Commerce. He has appeared on Middle Eastern news outlet AlQahera to discuss electoral threats posed by cybersecurity and misinformation. Outside LP, Ollie has spent time working for with Macro Advisory Partners and NATO Maritime Command.
He is a recent graduate from the University of Durham, awarded a 1:1 for Geography BA (Hons). He regularly contributes to the Durham University economics journal the ‘Ceteris Paribus’, writing on international issues including vaccine nationalism and renewable energy policy. He was President of Durham University Boat Club.
Marina Tovar is a Geopolitical Analyst at R&R and is a Research Director of the Intelligence Department at London Politica, producting intelligence reports and situational assessments and also co-leads the "Wagner Operations Watch", focusing on Wagner's operations and current developments. Marina has over two years of professional experience in counterterrorism and intelligence analysis. She has published multiple papers on radicalization, sexual violence, and security-related topics in peer-reviewed journals.
Marina is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Security, Intelligence, and Strategic Studies at the University of Glasgow, with a specialization in intelligence, terrorism, and peace-building. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, graduating with Summa Cum Laude.
